PPD2 blog 6
Continuing from the last point, I went back to the tail, I
extruded the last face I had created, as you can see.
I continue extruding then went into the side view and began
adjusting the vertices
The image below shows this
Until I got this
Here is what the model looks like so far
After I decided to work on the paws
By extruding the faces downwards
I began shaping the paws
However at this point the model started to go wrong
Because of this I decided to redo them by deleting the new
faces and filling the holes on the mesh
After I selected the faces
I then extruded the new faces
I began to match them to the image
As this images shows
Then began to repeat the process of extrusion
While then going into the front view and began to match then
up
After I extruded the face downwards
Extruding the face again
And repeating this
I went back into the front view matching the extruding mesh
After I match the vertices to the images
Then I went into the normal mesh and selected the faces
I extruded it downward in the front view, after I move the
vertices into the shape of the paw
I then went back to the front paws and extruded the edge
Going into the front view, I moved the new edge downwards
I then began to match the vertices up to the image
Then went back to the normal view then again extruded the
edge
Then repeat the same method by bringing the new edge
downwards
I then finish matching the vertices
I then went on to do the eyes by selecting one of the top
faces
After I extruded the edge and scale it down. I also did the
same process with the other eye. When completing this, I pull the faces out
The element which the mesh needs is the ears, the image I
used was a breed of dog called a beagle, which has long floppy ears, which
would need to be rigged for realistic animation as they would move when the dog
moves. In the next blog I will talk about doing the ears
